UOS 21.0 Home Desktop Public Preview is a build of UOS 21.0. It was officially announced on 1 May 2021 and was released only in the Home Desktop edition.
New features[edit | edit source]
- Easy install - This build introduces a brand new setup interface. With this new feature, the installation can be finished by just clicking "Easy install" once.
- New look and feel - It features an all new, modern looking design that is different to what is seen on UOS 20 and Deepin 20.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Resource consumption is extremely high on virtualization platforms such as VirtualBox. At least 2 GB of RAM is needed for a virtual machine.
- The system incorrectly identifies itself as UOS 20 or Deepin 20, with a placeholder icon when running
neofetch. - Some printers do not work correctly.
- VPN services are broken or prohibited, making VPN connections unavailable.
- Share between this system and Windows is buggy, and shared folders from Windows cannot be found on the system.
