Talk:Windows Server 2008 build 3790.1232

Server 2003?[edit source]

I think this is a Server 2003 build rather than a Server 2008 build.--Winins (talk) 17:13, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

Nope. It's like saying that the client build 3790.1232 was an XP build. After the reset, the project's codebase was changed from Windows Server 2003 Release Candidate to Windows Server 2003 SP1 Release Candidate. After changing the codebase, the Omega 13 stage of Longhorn (Server)'s development began, where Microsoft started testing features that they originally meant to include in Longhorn (Server) more thoroughly before implementing them into the main Longhorn builds. The builds were more XP/Server 2003-esque before any major changes or features were added. -- 2.30.192.95 17:25, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
Feature-wise? Yes, it is. However, the build was compiled in the Vista winmain branch, which makes it the first post-reset Windows Server 2008 build from the main branch. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 17:49, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
So you mean that the dnsrv build is server 2003 and not this one.--Winins (talk) 06:25, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

According to the Server 2003 page, this would be a SP1 beta build instead of a SP1 RC build. Yuds2003 (talk) 13:55, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
