Talk:Windows 2000 build 1671
Somehow i've managed to install this on virtualbox, by using a homemade bootdisk. MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 16:23, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
- That's pretty much impossible, as this build causes a quick crash on hypervisors. Brennan (talk) 19:50, 4 July 2022
Add a gallery?[edit source]
Hey, can you add a gallery? I got this build to work in VMware, and I got some images. ChanceManRox (talk) 01:48, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Startup sound record date[edit source]
According to the file properties of this startup sound, it was recorded on Sunday 14 September 1997. I checked this using Properties > General on Sony Vegas Pro 17 Edit. Edgar Searle (talk) 05:40, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
Startup sound copyright claim[edit source]
So in addition to being quite loud, I suppose the NT 5.0 Beta 1/Beta 2 startup is not the world's best Windows sound. Yesterday I tried to publish a video about the development startup and shutdown sounds of Windows 2000 i.e. NT 5.0, but got a copyright claim on that sound - the claimed content there was GONE.Fludd's song "Atomy" [explicit]. - Which was released last year. And obviously used that startup sound in it. Yay for content id being terrible. 92.24.152.196 22:43, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- However, some videos did not receive that copyright claim. Plus, the aforementioned song used Microsoft Windows sounds, I heard it! Brennan1234567890 (Talk page | Contributions) 22:25, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- Those videos you're talking about were probably published before the EP with that song was released in 2021. Somebody should probably sue GONE.Fludd for this. Edgar Searle (talk) 00:06, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
