Linux Mint 19 is a version of Linux Mint, which was released to the public on 29 June 2018. It is based on Ubuntu 18.04.

This release updates Cinnamon to version 3.8. It includes a brand new feature named Timeshift, which acts similar to System Restore in Microsoft Windows. In the case where any update goes wrong, Timeshift can restore the system to before the update. Update Manager was updated to rely on Timeshift. The Welcome Screen was completely overhauled to include sections. It updates the Software Manager to look more like the App Store in GNOME.

This release drops support for the KDE desktop, after being introduced in 2006 with the release of Linux Mint 1.0.
