Internet Explorer 1.5 is a minor update to the first version of Internet Explorer that was introduced in early 1996 for Windows 3.1x, Windows NT 3.1 and Windows NT 3.5x. The 16-bit version of Internet Explorer 2 was not available yet, so this version served as an intermediate release for users of older versions of Windows, until it was replaced by version 2.0 in May 1996. The earliest known beta version is from November 1995, the next beta is from January 1996, and the final is from February. The second beta and the final version can run on Windows 3.1x with Win32s installed and on Windows NT 3.5x. In March, another beta version (1.6) was released for Windows 3.1x exclusively.
Compared to version 1.0, it added support for HTML tables.
