iOS 18.0 build 22A5326f is the official Beta 5 and Public Beta 3 release of iOS 18, which was released to Apple developers on 5 August 2024, then to public beta testers on the next day.[1][2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Distraction Control has been added to Safari, which allows users to hide distracting elements (such as pop-ups) from articles and web pages.[3]
- Several UI adjustments have been made to the Photos app. These include the removal of the Carousel interface, easier to access albums, and increasing the visibility of the “All Photos” grid.
- In the Notes app, the splash screen has been updated to inform users about the new features introduced in iOS 18.
- In the Settings app, Stolen Device Protection can now be managed from the "Privacy & Security" section.[4]
- An 'Edit Pages' button has been added to the Home Screen edit menu.
- Dark Mode icons will correctly be displayed in the search interface
- Adjustments have been made to the Maps and Find My app icons in Dark Mode.
- Several Control Center and Lock Screen glyphs have been updated.
- The Lock Screen toggle for Quick Notes has been removed. It would be re-added in iOS 18.1 Beta 5.
