iOS 18.0 build 22A5297f is the official Beta 2 release of iOS 18, which was released to Apple developers on 24 June 2024.[1]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- iPadOS now complies with the Digital Markets Act’s requirements in the European Union.[2]
- Support for the iPhone Mirroring feature in macOS Sequoia has been added.[3]
- An option to enable dark mode wallpapers has been added to the Home Screen customization menu.
- The power button in Control Center now requires the user to press and hold on it.
- Support for RCS messaging has been added.
- iMessage now includes a demo for the Messages via Satellite feature.
- In the Passwords app, login information can now be added directly from the top page.
- A 'Connected Card' widget for the Wallet app has been added, but appears to be non-functional.
- A bug which removed the ability to save photos from the Files app has been fixed.
- Dark mode icons will now display in the Settings app.
- The App Store now has a dark mode icon.
