iOS 17.2 build 21C5054b is the official Beta 4 release of iOS 17.2, which was released to Apple developers and public beta testers on 28 November 2023.[1]
Changes[edit | edit source]
- The Collaborative Playlists feature in Apple Music, initially added in iOS 17.2 Beta 1, has been removed for unknown reasons.[2] It would be re-added in iOS 17.3 Beta 1.
- On iPhone 15 Pro models, the user will now be notified if they can't record ProRes video to an external storage device due to a slow USB-C cable.
- Sounds and haptics for default alerts (such as notifications from third-party apps) can now be changed.
- The "Coverage" page in the Settings app has been renamed to "AppleCare & Warranty".
Findings[edit | edit source]
Code suggested that the ability to purchase movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store app would be removed in a future version of iOS. This change would later be implemented in the RTM build of iOS 17.2.
