Build of iOS 17 | |
iOS 17.3 build 21D5026f is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 17.3, which was released to Apple developers on 12 December 2023, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Stolen Device Protection[edit | edit source]
This build introduces the Stolen Device Protection feature, which provides an additional layer of security in the event someone steals the user's iPhone and knows their passcode.[3] With it enabled, certain actions such as changing the user's Apple ID password, viewing a virtual Apple Card in the Wallet app, and erasing all content and settings will require authentication via Face ID or Touch ID.
Apple Music Collaborative Playlists[edit | edit source]
The Collaborative Playlists feature in Apple Music has been re-added after being removed in iOS 17.2 Beta 4. It is a more refined version that now includes animated emoji reactions.[4]
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
- Wording for the Spatial Video splash screen in the Camera app has been updated.
- Game Center will no longer function if Lockdown Mode is enabled.
