Windows Phone 7.5 is a version of the Windows Phone mobile operating system, which was offered as a large update to Windows Phone 7.

Multitasking[edit source]

The task switching menu, which facilitates easily switching between multiple apps, has been added.

Camera[edit source]

Various UI improvements have been made to the camera, along with front facing camera support and the ability to disable the shutter sound.[1]

Internet Explorer[edit source]

The built-in browser has been updated from Mobile Internet Explorer 8 to 9. This brought HTML5 and improved JavaScript support from the desktop counterpart, along with hardware acceleration.[2]

Bing Search[edit source]

The built-in Bing Search has been significantly improved, adding the ability to search for nearby places, scan barcodes and more.

  • This version introduced support for Wi-Fi hotspots, assuming they are supported by the device.
