Windows XP build 2200 is an unleaked build of Windows XP mentioned in contemporary press. The build was first mentioned in an article by ZDNet author Mary Jo Foley published before 10 February 2000.[1] ZDNet's initial claim that the build was the first internal release was soon corrected by Paul Thurrott, saying that "[he's] aware of a number of Whistler builds before that."[2] In a later article, Thurrott followed this up by stating that the first internal release was in fact build 2197 which "went out internally weeks ago".[3]
