New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- The SMB over QUIC server feature, previously only available in the Datacenter Azure Edition SKU, is also available in the Standard Server and Datacenter Server SKUs.
- Starting from this build, all firewall rules in the "File and Printer Sharing (Restrictive)" group will be automatically configured when creating an SMB share, which no longer contains inbound NetBIOS ports 137-139.[1]
- Support for specifying exception lists for NTLM usage has been implemented to the SMB NTLM blocking feature.[2]
- Support for connecting to an SMB server over TCP, QUIC, or RDMA using alternative network ports to the hardcoded defaults has been implemented to the SMB client.[3]
- Support for using certificates with subject alternative names has been implemented to the SMB over QUIC client access control feature.[4]
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Archiving eventlogs with wevtutil al
command may cause the Windows Event Log service to crash, and the archive operation to fail.
