Windows Server 2016 build 9841 is the first official Technical Preview build of Windows Server 2016, which was released on 1 October 2014 along with its client counterpart.[1]
It is the first known server build to use flight-signing, a functionality which prevents the operating system from booting once the timebomb is triggered.

The Settings application does not start in this build.
Window thumbnail border color[edit | edit source]
The window thumbnail borders on the taskbar do not change color, but the user can change it after the computer restarts.
Others[edit | edit source]
On 11 April 2015, Microsoft released the KB3056022 hotfix to extend this build's timebomb to 1 October 2015.[2][3]
