Windows Server 2016 build 10158 is a Threshold 2 codebase-based build of Windows Server 2016, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 4 February 2021. It is the earliest available build to refer to itself by its final name, and now identifies itself as "Technical Preview 3", despite the Setup branding still being Technical Preview 2.
Unlike build 10163, the banner on the branding wallpaper in this build was on the right, while it was moved to the left in later builds.
Changes[edit | edit source]
The installation with Desktop Experience has been readded.
Quirks[edit | edit source]
- The Server Core editions are not staged properly and therefore are a 1:1 duplicate of the Desktop Experience configuration.
- The branding in System Properties is absent.
