Windows Server 2008 R2 build 7100 is the official Release Candidate build of Windows Server 2008 R2. This build was released on 30 April 2009 to MSDN and TechNet subscribers[1] and was then released to the general public five days later along with the client counterpart.

- The mention of Windows Server 7 on the desktop watermark was changed to Windows Server 2008 R2.
- The copyright dates of
winver.exeand System Properties have been updated from 2008 to 2009. These persist up to Windows Server 2012 build 7850.
