Windows Phone 8 build 8042 is a build of Windows Phone 8, which was supposedly uploaded to the Chinese website BetaWorld on 20 October 2022, along with build 9513.[1] It was claimed to be found on a prototype Qualcomm MSM8660 development kit[2] in the form of a bootable UpdateOS WIM image.
The Hardware Abstraction Layer for this build (including extensions for NVIDIA Tegra 2/3, Texas Instruments OMAP4 and Qualcomm MSM8660) were publicly uploaded on 27 May 2022.
