Windows Phone 8 build 10295 is the earliest currently available GDR2 build of Windows Phone 8, which was released to the Windows Update servers as a Delta package for build 10211.[1]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

FM Radio[edit | edit source]

This build reintroduces the FM Radio feature, which was absent since Windows Phone 7 and can be opened via the Radio option of the Xbox Music+Videos app.

When launched, the user is presented with a simple FM Radio interface that shows the currently selected FM frequency number, a bar with all available frequencies and a favorite button which allows the user to save specific FM stations.

The FM Radio application in this build is known to be quite buggy, as the frequency tends to reset to 0.1 when setting and will not be changeable until the app is restarted.

Xbox Music[edit | edit source]

This build introduces the ability to add albums to Kid's Corner while the album is already selected. Previously, the album could only be added while selecting it in the Music -> Albums portion of the app.

Camera[edit | edit source]

The default camera app can now be changed in the camera+photos settings applet, which was likely done in preparation for Nokia's Lumia Amber update, which introduced two new seperate camera applications: Nokia Smart Camera and Nokia Pro Camera. Changing the default camera application will result in it opening when the camera button is pressed.

Most settings in the previously mentioned settings applet were also renamed to state that they will only be relevant to the built-in camera app.

Settings[edit | edit source]

When adding a new account, the "Microsoft account" icon is now colored entirely in white rather than a gray-ish gradient.

Updating[edit | edit source]

When an update is finished, the update text now reads "Update completed!" rather than "Your update is all done!".
