Windows Phone 7.8 build 8858 is the official RTM build of Windows Phone 7.8. This is the last major feature update for Windows Phone 7 as the shift to the NT kernel and new hardware requirements made updating phones running the operating system incapable of running later versions of the operating system. This build was initially leaked as firmware for the Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 on 13 December 2012.[1] It was later rolled out onto phones as early as 31 January 2013. The SDK for the version was released to developers 9 days earlier on 22 January.
