Windows NT 3.5 build 807 (pre-release) is the earlier compile of the Windows NT 3.5 RTM, found in warez. The Workstation edition released by the group PWA features three different files compared to retail media: CHARMAP.EXE, L_TRK.NLS and WINSRV.DLL. The latter was updated from version 3.50.806.1 to 3.50.807.1 in the later compile. Meanwhile, an OEM release of Workstation does not include the updated files, indicating this original compile was already sent to at least some OEMs, before it was replaced by the updated one for the retail release.
Various Server releases all appear to be identical to retail media, however, and do not include the updated files. The reason for this is currently unknown. The Server release by another group called Phoenix contains a readme explaining the differences. According to them, additional bugs were fixed shortly after the build released by PWA was made and a new build was released as the RTM.
