Windows Longhorn build 4044 is an unleaked Milestone 7 build of Windows Longhorn. This build uses a different "About Windows" branding which is seen in later builds, up to Windows Vista build 5212 (winmain). This build was first seen in a screenshot at PDC 2003 during the Avalon Graphics and Media (Part 2) presentation: Using Graphics, Animation and Composition in Your Applications session (CLI341) by Greg Schechter to demonstrate the power of XAML in Windows. Since then, a couple more screenshots of this build have been leaked.
