Windows CE 1.0 build 7020-0 is the official Technical Beta 3 build of Windows CE 1.0. This build's SDK, including an emulator, was shared on 16 January 2019.[1]
Changes[edit | edit source]
- Icons have been changed to black and white instead of colorful.
- The option to change the emulation version has been added to Settings.
- Help contents have been changed.
Installation[edit | edit source]
Visual C++ 5.0 is required in order to install this build. Several folders of the currently available copy of this build have been renamed to a wrong name. To install this build, they must be renamed to the correct name. In order to start the emulator, select Emulation Environment in the Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 folder in the Start menu. In the command prompt window, type shell32.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- The Control Panel folder inside the File Explorer does not open and is missing its icon.
- Attempting to open the Receive menu in the File Explorer will error due to irsquirt.exe being missing.
