Windows CE 1.0 build 7020-0 is a Technical Beta 3 build of Windows CE 1.0. This build's SDK, including an emulator, was shared on 16 January 2019.[1]
Changes[edit | edit source]
- Many missing icons have been added.
- The wallpaper has been changed to the final version.
- The Control Panel, named Settings, has been added.
- The Help application has been added.
- All instances of Codename Pegasus branding have been replaced with Windows CE.
Installation[edit | edit source]
You must have Visual C++ 5.0 installed in order to install this build. Several folders of the currently available copy of this build have been renamed to a wrong name. To install this build, you must rename them to the correct name. In order to start the emulator, select Emulation Environment in the Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 folder in the Start menu. In the command prompt window, type shell32.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
The Control Panel folder inside the File Explorer does not open and is missing its icon.
Attempting to open the Receive menu in the File Explorer will error due to irsquirt.exe being missing.
