Private components[edit | edit source]

This build has a large part of the system being replaced by privately built components with the build tag 10.0.17686.1002.rs_onecore_dep_uxp_dev(regisb).180605-1456.

Radial UX[edit | edit source]

This build contains an experimental new navigation experience named Radial UX, which can be enabled by toggling a Feature Staging ID. Once enabled, the user can swipe from any corner or side of the device in order to bring up the navigation menu consisting of commonly used shell entry points such as the start menu, Cortana and Task Switching. The menu is also context aware. When an application is already open, the menu contains more user actions, such as a back button or search.

Dual Screen Experience[edit | edit source]

While this build was being designed to run on Lumia 950 devices using a one shell experience, Andromeda OS itself was designed to run on the Surface Duo. As a result, this build contains an experience more fitted for that device. It is possible to simulate this experience on a Lumia 950 by toggling a few registry values of the Andromeda Composer, resulting in a cramped version of the dual screen experience that would have ran on the Andromeda Hardware.
