Windows 95 build 222 is a Beta 2 build of Windows 95. It is available in the Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish languages. The aforementioned German edition was found on a DAT tape of warez releases by Darkstar and was uploaded to BetaArchive on 14 May 2010. A partially corrupted ISO (with corrupted Swedish files) of International Versions was uploaded to the aforementioned site on 19 January 2014 by Battler.[1] The complete ISO dump of the disc was uploaded to Internet Archive on 2 October 2023 by Term24.[2]
Findings[edit | edit source]
- Parts of the user interface are not fully localized.
- The German localization notably features a different
SETUP.BMPbackground image, depicting a colorful space background with an image of Earth imposed in the middle and specialized branding. - Some languages use the metric system in place of the imperial system, e.g.: the sizes of 3.5" and 5.25" floppy drives are respectively converted to 8.89 cm and 13.34 cm.
