Windows 8 build 8431 is a build of Windows 8. This build was shown at the Microsoft Surface Tablet keynote.[1] It is notable for being one of the first builds to drop the glass effects from the Windows Aero visual style in favor of a flat surface that is consistent with the Metro design language.
