Changes[edit | edit source]
Installation[edit | edit source]
Command Prompt launches again minimized after being absent in build 1877. This is due to this being an internal build, while the latter has been released to the public.
Hibernation[edit | edit source]
- After the system hibernates, this build redirects to the safe to shutdown screen instead of showing
State saved, power off the system
in the left-top corner of the screen. - The progress bar and the percent in the resuming from hibernation screen are now located in the top center of the screen with a border. This persists up to build 2072.
Control Panel[edit | edit source]
- The "Hardware Wizard" has been renamed to "Add/Modify Hardware".
- The "SQL Server Client Configuration" applet has been removed.
- The "ODBC" applet has been renamed to "ODBC Data Sources".
Bugs[edit | edit source]
Installation[edit | edit source]
The installation disk is not bootable and WINNT32.EXE
will not recognize the CD. You must use a Windows 9x boot disk and run WINNT /B
in order to install the build.
Virtual PC[edit | edit source]
There is a minor glitch after the text-mode setup. To get past it, restart the VM.
