Windows 11 build 22624.1690 is a build of Windows 11 2022 Update. It was released to a subset of Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 4 May 2023 as the KB5023595 enablement update to build 22621.1690 (KB5026447) for new features included, which may not be enabled by default and instead be rolled out.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The alerts for advising users to add a recovery email address or phone number to their Microsoft account have been added under the Accounts page.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

  • The navigation pane has been made a bit narrower. As part of this change, the text will be wrapped when necessary.
  • The access keys related to the creation of live kernel memory dump file submenu has been added.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed the underlying crash impacting the ability to launch the touch keyboard / PIN entry on the login screen.
  • Fixed another 2FA code pattern which wasn't being recognized.
  • Addressed an issue that was causing random processes in Task Manager to sometimes get grouped under Microsoft Edge even though they weren't related.
  • Fixed an issue that was impacting Task Manager reliability.
  • Fixed an issue where pressing Enter when keyboard focus is on one of the sections in the Performance page won't actually switch sections.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing Task Manager from resizing from the top of the window.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Users may see the daily rotating search highlight for some time before getting the new Bing button back to the search box on the taskbar.
  • When launching the Widgets board for the first time, some momentarily placeholders of the widgets/feed cards of the old 2-column layout may be displayed even if the device supports 3-columns.
