Windows 11 build 22623.1095 is a build of Windows 11 2022 Update. It was released to a subset of Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 5 January 2023 as the KB5018863 enablement update to build 22621.1095 (KB5022364) for new features included, which may not be enabled by default and instead be rolled out.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

  • Task Manager will inform users explicitly if there are no matching search results.
  • The ability to set focus to the search box by pressing Ctrl+F has been added.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The ability to show all future preview (optional) .NET Framework updates under Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates has been added.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

The Quick Assist shortcut under the Windows Tools folder has been moved to the Start menu's main All apps list.

  • Fixed an issue that that was causing Windows Server 2022 domain controllers to stop responding when they handled LDAP requests.
  • Fixed an issue that might have occurred when IME was active, applications might have stopped responding when using the mouse and keyboard at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing conhost.exe to stop responding.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the copy speed for items from a network to a local computer to be slower than expected.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing AutoPilot to unable to set up on certain systems that had firmware TPM.
  • Fixed a resource conflict issue between two or more threads (known as a deadlock) that affected COM+ applications.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some applications to stop responding or not open on devices that were subject to Microsoft Exploit Protection EAF.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing searchindexer.exe to randomly prevent users from signing in or out.
  • Fixed an issue when converting or reconverting Japanese Kanji using a MBCS app, the cursor might have moved to the wrong location when typing.

  • Fixed a couple issues that was causing the tablet-optimized taskbar to be cropped in half sometimes.
  • The reliability of the search box on thew taskbar has been improved to fix some crashes and the performance of animations and transitions.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing the search box on the taskbar to not render correctly and display visual artifacts.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing several layout issues with the text in the search box on right-to-left locales.

Start menu[edit | edit source]

Fixed an issue where the uninstall app dialog might not display correctly in the Start menu in certain cases, making the buttons inaccessible.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue that was causing filtering by publisher name to not match correctly on the Processes page.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some services to not show in the Services page after filtering is applied.
  • Fixed an issue which resulted in new processes appearing in a filtered list if launched while a filter is set.
  • Fixed an issue where Task Manager did not display light and dark content correctly, rendering potentially unreadable text.
  • Fixed the issue where some dialogs were not rendering in the correct theme when applied from the Settings page.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing the data content area of the Processes page to flash once when theme changes are applied in the Settings page.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the Startup apps page in Task manager to not list any apps.
  • Fixed an issue which could cause a black flash when opening Task Manager.
  • Fixed a Task Manager crash that could happen when attempting to end certain processes.
