Windows 11 build 22622.590 is a build of Windows 11 2022 Update. It was released to a subset of Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 1 September 2022 as the KB5015669 enablement update to build 22621.590 (KB5017846) for new features included, which may not be enabled by default and instead be rolled out.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Shell[edit | edit source]
- The default folders unpinned to File Explorer's navigation pane will be re-pinned after upgrading to this build.
- When moving keyboard focus to the tab row using F6, pressing the arrow keys to move keyboard focus within the row will include setting focus to the close button within the tab.
- The Widgets entry point will collapse to a shorter width when the taskbar is center aligned and full.
- The ability to choose OneDrive as a target to directly upload the file to OneDrive via the built-in Windows share window, intitally introduced in build 22622.436, has been disabled for maintenance.

- Fixed an issue causing Control Panel to not launch from the Start menu, Search or if pinned to the taskbar.
- Fixed an issue causing a bugcheck when
cldflt.sys
is used with Microsoft OneDrive. - Fixed an issue causing Windows to fail to set a file to the right modified time when using the
robocopy /is
command.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue causing repeated
explorer.exe
crashes after attempting to access certain folders. - Fixed an issue where the New / Sort / View / etc buttons in the command bar could become noticeably clipped vertically after increasing the text scaling under the Accessibility page in the Settings app.
- Fixed an issue causing the search box background to unexpectedly have a dark background sometimes when using light mode.
- Fixed an issue where hovering the mouse on the bottom of the screen to invoke the taskbar won't work if the taskbar is set to auto-hide and File Explorer is maximized.
- Fixed a memory leak which was happening when closing File Explorer windows.
- Fixed a GDI objects leak when resizing the navigation pane in File Explorer, which could potentially lead to content in File Explorer not rendering correctly over time when resizing the navigation pane frequently.

- Fixed an issue causing the taskbar overflow won't use the same accent color as the taskbar.
- Fixed an issue the apps in the taskbar overflow flyout to be in the wrong order when using an Arabic or Hebrew display language.
- Fixed a couple of issues related to the taskbar overflow which could lead to sporadic
explorer.exe
crashes.

- File Explorer may fail to open if the "Launch folder windows in a separate process" option in Folder Options is enabled.
- The command bar items, such as copy, paste, and empty recycle bin, may unexpectedly not be enabled.
