Windows 11 build 22000.282 is a public post-GA build of Windows 11. It can be obtained by installing the KB5006746 cumulative update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Beta and Release Preview Channels on 15 October 2021, and later released to the public on 21 October 2021.

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • The visual design and animations for the Chat taskbar icon has been updated.
  • Several small adjustments has been made to the contrast theme colors, such as making hyperlinks more distinct when hovering over them while using the desert theme.
  • The warning about losing other users' unsaved work when shutting down or restarting if no other users are signed in has been removed.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Windows print clients may fail to connect to a remote printer shared on a Windows print server with error codes 0x000006e4 (RPC_S_CANNOT_SUPPORT), 0x0000007c (ERROR_INVALID_LEVEL), and 0x00000709 (ERROR_INVALID_PRINTER_NAME).
  • Several built-in Windows apps or parts of some built-in apps may fail to open or use due to an expired Microsoft digital certificate. It can be resolved by installing the KB5008295 update.[1]
