Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Various bug fixes and improvements, which are detailed in the release announcement.
  • Removed the timebomb and watermark, only to be re-added again in build 15060.

Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • Some machines would fail to update to this build with a SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE BSOD.
  • Some apps and games can crash due to a misconfiguration of an advertising ID if you created an account in build 15031. To fix this bug, open Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AdvertisingInfo and delete the AdvertisingInfo key.
  • The restart reminder dialog doesn't pop up to see if a restart is required after downloading an update. Navigate to Settings -> Update & security -> Windows Update and check to see if a restart is required.
  • Issues may occur when browsing pages using the F12 developer tools on pages with cross-origin iframes.
  • If you're using a Surface Pro 3 or Surface 3 device, you can't update to this build unless you remove the SD card.
