Windows 10 build 14271 is the seventh Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Anniversary Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring on 24 February 2016.

User interface[edit | edit source]
The taskbar music control icons have been updated.
Windows Defender[edit | edit source]
This build introduces the Windows Defender Offline scan option, which allows Windows Defender to scan for malware outside the main operating system using Windows Recovery Environment. At this stage of development, the button for it in Settings → Update & security → Windows Defender is non-functional.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
Improved universal app debugging support.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Some PCs running this build can either freeze or crash with a blue screen of death when resuming from hibernation.
- Using the option "always show all icons in the notification area" will be glitch out the layout of the system tray.
- Microsoft Edge has issues with displaying charts because of a problem with the
D3.js
library. This results in affected areas either being positioned incorrectly or it being rendered as a black area instead. - Due to an operating system reliability issue, some apps can randomly crash.
