Windows 10 Mobile build 14959 is the eigth Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 3 November 2016.[1] It's available as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile and as delta packages for builds 14955 and 14956.[2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
This is the first build to be released via the Unified Update Platform (UUP).
The Data Usage page has been updated with performance and UI improvements
Other improvements and fixes[edit | edit source]
- It is now possible to add cards to Wallet and use tap to pay.
- It will no longer be possible to close the "Start" application in the task switcher.
- Some options for the default calling app will no longer be unexpectedly missing.
- Media players will no longer stop playing in the background whenever Battery Saver will turn on.
- Copy/paste operations will no longer randomly stop working until a device reboot.
- Settings will no longer freeze when unchecking the "Let apps automatically use this VPN connection" setting.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- It is impossible to install new languages, keyboards and speech packs on this build. Existing ones will carry over.
