Windows 10 Mobile build 14955 is the seventh Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 25 October 2016.[1] It's available as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile and as delta packages for builds 14951 and 14954.[2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Outlook Mail and Calendar has been updated to version 17.7466.4062x.0. This update brings new features, such as being able to use Quick Actions from email notifications or being able to mention people in emails.

Other improvements and fixes[edit | edit source]

  • An issue causing users to be unable to sign into apps with their Microsoft account after signing out has been fixed.
  • Some devices will no longer appear stuck on the Splash loading screen when rebooting.
  • Notification banners from Outlook Mail accounts that have been pinned to the Start screen will now appear.
  • Apps will no longer be unexpectedly missing from the Share dialog.
  • Users will no longer receive frequent notifications about exceeding a data limit that had been set previously.
  • The indeterminate ProgressBar control (horizontal progress dots) will no longer incorrectly fade out at the right side.
  • Users will now be able to enter input into the Time or Place fields when creating a reminder with Cortana.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Some users will experience an 0x80242006 (WU_E_UH_INVALIDMETADATA) error when trying to update to this build.
  • It is impossible to install new languages, keyboards and speech packs on this build. Existing ones will carry over.
  • Excel Mobile will freeze and crash after adding sheets.
