Windows 10 Mobile build 14926 is the third Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 14 September 2016[1]. It's available as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile, as well as delta packages for builds 14915, 14921 and 14924.[2]

New features[edit | edit source]

Microsoft Edge[edit | edit source]

A Snooze button has been added to Microsoft Edge, which lets users put a site they're on into a Cortana reminder, which will show up as a notification, so that they can get back to the site at a later time.

Settings[edit | edit source]

A redesigned Wi-Fi connections page has been added in this build, to more closely align the functionalty to the PC version of Windows 10. The old Wi-Fi connection page is available as Wi-Fi (legacy), to ensure users can access any missing functionality. It is also possible to connect to WPS networks.

Bug fixes[edit | edit source]

The bottom part of certain apps, like Messaging and Maps will no longer get cut off on devices such as the Lumia 635, 636 or 638.

Microsoft Edge's reliability has been improved, which will result in better stability on websites like Facebook and Outlook.

The keypress and lock/unlock sounds are now more audible if the phone is set to a moderate volume.

An issue with Quiet Hours that caused banner notifications to possibly not appear again until Action Center was opened or an interactive notification popped up and was dimissed was fixed.

Cortana will no longer crash when trying to access the Reminders page.

The VPN Settings page's reliability has been improved.

The thumbnails for portrait videos will now appear correctly in the Photos app when panning through the Camera Roll.

Known issues[edit | edit source]

Updating to this build might fail on some devices, for example the Lumia 650 with the error code 0x80188308 (E_INSUFFICIENT_SPACE_FOR_UPDATE).

Action Center will no longer close when swiping up on its empty area.

The mobile hotspot feature does not work after the first time it's been used. A workaround is to reboot the device when this happens.

In some cases, upgrading to this build may cause the PIN pad to no longer show even after the phone has been restarted, therefore not allowing the user to unlock the phone, or the phone may lose SIM card functionality. If any of these issues happen, the user will need to reset their device.
