Windows 10 Mobile build 10136 is an Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile. On 16 June 2015, it was only released to Windows Insiders on phones that are running Windows Phone 8.1 and opted in to the Fast ring.[1] This build can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft.[2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
This build includes a lot of UI and app changes compared to Build 10080.
UI changes[edit | edit source]
- PIN pad is now transparent and it slides over the lock screen,
- Many changes to icons, fonts and layouts
Cortana improvements[edit | edit source]
- Adjustments to the hamburger menu and homepage of Cortana.
- Dark theme colors to Cortana to make it more cohesive with the rest of the system interface.
- Flight and package tracking is enabled.
Photos updates[edit | edit source]
- Month lists for quickly jumping between photos.
- Double-tap photo zooming.
- Performance and reliability improvements.
Other[edit | edit source]
- Models such as Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL, Lumia 930, Lumia Icon and Lumia 1520 receive support for the Lumia Camera Beta app, same as Windows 10 Camera app but with Lumia-specific hardware-based features.
- Improved one-handed use.
What’s fixed[edit | edit source]
- A bug is fixed where the MMS in Build 10080, and users should receive MMS messages normally.
- An issue is fixed where touch will stop responding on the Lock screen preventing users from swiping up to unlock users' phone.
- Some visual glitches are fixed in Action Center when expanding/collapsing.
- An issue is fixed where the text in the People app was too small.
- When users toggle the Wi-Fi quick action in Action Center, it now disables/enables Wi-Fi instead of taking you to the Wi-Fi Settings page.
- Users' Start screen background should be scaled correctly now.
- Users can add a detailed status to display on their Lock screen from apps like Outlook Calendar without having the Settings app crash.
- An issue is fixed where a mouse cursor would appear when pressing the back button on users' phone.
Known issues[edit | edit source]
- After upgrading, users will still see duplicate tiles for apps like Search and Phone under All Apps.
- If users have too many PIN unlock attempts, they will see the “enter A1B2C3” reset experience. However, there is an issue in this build where after users enter the code they won’t see the PIN pad.
- There is an issue that may cause Skype not to work after upgrade.
