Changes[edit | edit source]

Setup[edit | edit source]

The ability to customize the installation has been temporarily removed, as it would re-appear in the Visual Studio 2012 RC. This change was made to get feedback from the installation of all components.[3] Setup acquires and applies components at the same time now.

IDE[edit | edit source]

This release updates the style of icons to be more consistent with the Metro user interface. It also introduces the dark theme.

Tailored Simulator[edit | edit source]

The Tailored Simulator got many changes in this build. It introduces a GUI refresh to make it more similar to a Windows tablet, and also introduces location controls and screenshot capabilities. A new default resolution has also been added: 10.6" 1024x768.
