Ubuntu 23.04 is a version of Ubuntu under the codename "Lunar Lobster" which was released in April 2023. The codename for this version was revealed on 27 October 2022 when the official Ubuntu Twitter account posted a cryptic tweet revealing the codename in emojis.[1] A Launchpad page for 23.04 was set up the same day.

Daily images for this release were made public on 24 November 2022.
