Talk:Windows Vista build 5048

I do have problems with period correct hardware and this build. While it can install just fine on my eMachines T3116 from 2005 and it can get to the second stage of setup on the SATA drive that’s in there, it never seems to get past this… same problem with an IDE drive in here too. Don’t have this problem with 5231 but that has its own problem with zero day activation if installed on current date. I primarily wanted to install 5048 to see what hardware accelerated Aero looked and ran like on my PNY FX5500 128MB AGP, but well I’m faced with this problem with both types of hard drives. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RetroReviewYT (talk • contribs)

Question about this build's DWM

If you done the registry then use drivers. Make sure they are VMware SVGA II drivers.I recommend Hounsell/Melcher drivers. 185.230.124.46 02:01, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
