Help for installing[edit source]

I cannot get this build (2000.3 Professional Checked/Debug) to install on 86Box. I tried a Pentium and a Pentium Pro configuration, switched the graphics, network and sound adapter and replaced IDE with SCSI, but it still crashes during "Installing Devices" with a bugcheck KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

If you are curoius, these are my configurations used:

I use the most recent version of 86Box. I also tried VMware, but it causes the CPU to shut down.

I don't know why it strikes there, since builds 1877, 1946 and 1965 did work flawlessly with the Pentium Pro machine. (I usually use Pentium Pro configs for Interims DR/Beta 2 and Pentium configs as fallback and for Win98.) I experienced the same problem with build 2031 (Professional Checked/Debug). I just want to note what version did replace Windows NT Diagnostics (WINMSD.EXE) with a stub which redirects to System Information. - 2.204.220.65 16:36, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
