Changes[edit | edit source]
Visual changes[edit | edit source]
- The setup assistant has been updated with a new design that would be used in the RTM build.
- All programs received their final icons, splash screens, and About banners.
- A background image has been added to the Welcome dialog.
- Ribbon UI elements were redesigned to match their RTM designs.

- The Outlook Today banner has been updated.
- Office Help has been redesigned to its RTM appearance.
Ribbon UI[edit | edit source]
- When the Ribbon is minimized, tabs can be clicked once to temporarily show commands. In previous builds, clicking once would fully open the Ribbon.
- Quick Access Toolbar's dropdown menu now includes commonly used items which the user may want to add.
- Excel documents can now be closed directly from the Ribbon without needing to go into the Office menu.
Color schemes[edit | edit source]
- The Silver color scheme has been added.
- The Windows XP and Windows Vista color schemes were renamed to simply "Blue" and "Black" respectively.
- Options will now adapt to the current color scheme. For example, silver accents will be used if the Silver or Black schemes are used.
