Mac OS X Tiger build 8S2167 is the Intel version of the 10.4.11 update of Mac OS X Tiger released on 14 November 2007. Like its PowerPC counterpart, it bundles Safari 3.0 with the update along with improvements and bug fixes. It was the final build to be compiled for a single architecture until Mac OS X Lion build 11A419, which was only supported on x64 processors.

Third-party[edit | edit source]
- Support for RAW image decoding support was added for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, Leica V-Lux 1, Olympus E-400, Olympus EVOLT E410, Olympus EVOLT E510 and the Canon EOS 40D cameras.
- Compatibility was improved when using OpenType fonts in QuarkXPress.
- Reliability was improved when running VMware Fusion.

- Support was improved while using Image Capture to import pictures taken on an iPhone.
- Syncing between iPhone and Yahoo! address books was improved.

- An issue was addressed while copying files from a Mac OS 9 AFP sharepoint.
- Reliability was improved while advertising an AFP sharepoint over Bonjour.
- An issue was addresed which prevented the use of port mapping when sharing a Mac's internet connection.
- Reliability was improved when trying to authenticate an AFP share using Kerberos.
- Compatibility was improved with third-party wireless wide-area network devices.

Reliability was improved for mounting external USB hard drives.

Support was added for the Microsoft Presenter Mouse 8000.

- An issue was addressed in where selecting two rows of album art within the iTunes artwork, Screen Saver may cause System Preferences to unexpectedly quit.
- Daylight Saving Time information was updated for customers in Australia, New Zealand and the United States state of Indiana.
- The use of special keys on aliminum Apple Keyboards can now be used to control Aperture slideshows.
- An issue was addressed in which help content for some applications may be displayed in English when using the computer in another language.
- An issue was addressed with certain Apple Dashboard widgets. These widgets include Unit Converter, Calculator and Stocks.
- Recent Apple security updates are included.
