Mac OS X Server 1.2 is a build of Mac OS X Server 1.x. It was released as a paid upgrade version for Mac OS X Server 1.0 on 14 January 2000. It includes some minor changes, like updating the kernel to version 5.6, updating the installation environment to Mac OS 9.0, and updating the BlueBox emulator to Mac OS 8.6.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- The kernel was updated to Rhapsody version 5.6.
- The Blue Box emulator was updated to include Mac OS 8.6 instead of 8.5.1.
- Support was added for the Power Mac G4 "Yikes!" computer and the Macintosh Server G4.
- The installation environment was updated to Mac OS 9.0.
