Mac OS X Leopard build 9A581 is the official RTM release of Mac OS X Leopard. This is the first RTM release of Mac OS X to have support for i386 and x86_64 processors.
Installer[edit | edit source]
The installer has received major overhauls. These include:
- The resolution being bumped up to 1024x768
- A new wallpaper for the installer
- New utilities, being 'Restore System from Backup' and 'Firmware Password Utility'
- Installer now no longer including application buttons
- A new information button giving the user instructions on how to set up Mac OS X and such
Utilities, including Disk Utility, have also received major uplifts.
The Setup Assistant has received a few uplifts, including either the fading-in Leopard Aurora wallpaper or a gray-ish wallpaper if hardware acceleration is not supported. The user can also freely skip registration just by pressing continue.
