Mac OS 8.6b3 (Harald) is a beta build of Mac OS 8.6. It was uploaded to BetaArchive FTP on 19 February 2011.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Added locale support as a way of storing information associated with cultural conventions such as calendars, date and time formats, number and currency formats, and text sorting orders.
- Unicode Utilities work with international text to sort and collate without translating to the Mac OS character set and back.
- Help Viewer 1.2 has been implemented with a new user interface.
- Sherlock 2.1 has been implemented with bug fixes and a new user interface.
- Firewire 1.2 has been implemented.
- AppleScript 1.3.5 had a bug fix.
