macOS Sequoia build 24E5206s is the official Beta 1 release of macOS Sequoia 15.4, which was released to Apple developers on 21 February 2025, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Setup[edit | edit source]

Users can now use their iPhone or iPad to sign in to their Apple Account during setup.

Apple Intelligence[edit | edit source]

  • Language support for French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified) has been added.
  • The Sketch style has been added to Image Playground.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

  • Mail categorization is now available the Mail app.[3]
  • "Library" and "Shows" widgets for the Podcasts app have been added.
  • The Passwords app will now display an expiration timer for verification codes.[4]
  • The Software Update section in the Settings app now includes a dedicated "Check for Update" option.
  • A shortcut action for opening a conversation in the Messages app has been added.
  • Two additional Australian voices for Siri are now available.
  • Robot vacuum cleaners are now supported in the Home app.
  • Safari has been updated to version 18.4.
