macOS Monterey build 21A5522h is the official Beta 7 and Public Beta 6 release of macOS Monterey, which was released to Apple developers on 21 September 2021,[1] then to public beta testers the next day.[2]

Installation[edit | edit source]
- Installation for this build has been updated to the one in the final product.
- Now the hello page uses the Monterey wallpaper, instead of the one from Big Sur.
Bluetooth[edit | edit source]
- The ability to set the magic keyboard has been implemented, which opens up the Keyboard app.
Shell[edit | edit source]
- The Set-up assistant no longer appears when you disconnect your USB drive during installation.
System Preferences[edit | edit source]
- The Sidecart section has been moved as a new individual option to the Displays section.
- The Sidecart section in the main page has been removed.
Fixes[edit | edit source]
- The toolbar icon sizes in this build have been fixed.
- Fixed the issue where screen recording may not properly work when changing themes.
- The SwiftUI checkboxes got fixed in this build.
Known issues[edit | edit source]
- The calendar app in this build seems really broken. This means that reminders, events and its sychnorization aren't working perfectly.
- There's an issue where toolbars will be seperated from each other, instead of being combined.
- There's an issue where SwiftUI buttons could glitch in this build.
- There's an issue where the color of the menu bar can't change when dark mode is enabled.
