macOS Monterey build 21A5304g is the official Beta 5 and Public Beta 4 release of macOS Monterey, which was released on 11 August 2021 to Apple developers,[1] then to public beta testers the next day.[2]

Safari[edit | edit source]
- The tab visualization backgrounds have been changed to use the Monterey wallpaper by default instead of the one from macOS Big Sur.
- The search box has been updated to have grey outlines and a white background to match with the design from the one seen in iOS 14.
- The tab groups have been moved from navigation to next from the title bar controllers, with text showing "Group Name".
System Preferences[edit | edit source]
- Added the new "Wake for network access" option in Battery Preferences.
Apple Podcasts[edit | edit source]
- The menu bar now will notify you with a new message when someone is sharing your own podcast.
- A new splash screen has been introduced for the app.
