Internet Explorer 3.0 build 1028 is the official Alpha build of Internet Explorer 3.0. This alpha release of Internet Explorer is intended primarily for application developers. Works on Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 Beta.

- ActiveX Controls support.
- JavaScript and Visual Basic Script support.
- HTML frame and enhanced HTML table support.
- In-place DocObj activation.
- The user interface reminds of the Internet Explorer Build in Windows Nashville Build 999, but without shell integration.
- In Internet applet to the Control Panel, added more options.
- In menu added Explore menu with a Back option, a Forward option, a History menu containing the navigation history, Options applet allowing the user to change the home page and search page, and an Up One Level option.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- When attempting to open a site that is not available, an unhandled error occurs, causing the application to partially crash.
