IRIX 6.2 is a version of IRIX, which was released in March 1996. Support for the R10000 processor was introduced and is the first fully 64-bit IRIX release. Support for the Indigo² with the R10000 processor has been implemented. Support for all SGI models with the R3000 was dropped.
