iOS 18.4 build 22E5200s is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 18.4, which was released to Apple developers on 21 February 2025, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- The Home app now supports robot vacuums through Matter integration.[3]
- Priority Notifications, a new Apple Intelligence feature to categorize important notifications, was implemented. The feature is disabled by default and needs to be enabled in Settings.[4]
- The ability to set default apps through a dedicated Settings page added in 18.2 for the EU is now available worldwide.[5]
- A Sketch style was added to Image Playground.[6]
- Apple News Plus now has a Food section with recipes.[7]
- Ambient Music, a collection of ambient music tracks, was added to Control Center. It includes 4 categories: Chill, Productivity, Sleep and Wellbeing.[8]
